| Si acum vom trece la primul nostru segment: rezervoarele de apa.
Aici… acesta este un rezervor tipic de apa potabila… este de fapt destul de aproape de Aeroportul International din Sydney cand treci pe langa Tempe iar cerinta pentru Radcon in acest caz a fost de a se elimina o membrana de cauciuc defecta si veche de aprox 30 de ani. Poate ca se pot vedea ceva scurgeri de calciu, aici rezervorul a inceput sa manifeste scurgeri iar misiunea Radconului a fost de a se goli rezervorul, a se usca pana la 80 unitati, a se aplica produsul ca o membrana hidroizolanta pentru apa de baut din Sydney. Acest turn se afla pe coasta de est a orasului Sydney, in suburbia Volclues iar aceasta lucrare a constat in repararea unui rezervor din beton vechi de 60 de ani, ce avea cancer serios al betonului sau exfoliere si cerintele pentru Radcon erau de a se repara exfolierea betonului, de a proteja partea exterioara a rezervorului cu Radcon #7 si apoi a aplica o vopsea pe beton pentru a obtine un finisaj placut si rezistent. Pot vedea acest rezervor de acasa. A fost reparat acum aproape 15 de ani si vor mai trece inca multi ani pana ce acest rezervor va necesita fie si numai o revopsire a acoperisului. Aceasta este una din cele mai vechi lucrari ale noastre din 1998 si este o lucrare interesanta deoarece initial aceasta curte a fost proiectata ca o gradina. A fost apoi o schimbare de plan de ultim moment. Chiar nu a fost proiectat pentru a fi un lac. Totusi dedesubt este o parcare de masini pentru oaspetii hotelului si de aceea este o referinta grozava. Si acum lacul este folosit pentru pescuit de crap chinezesc deoarece Radcon, fiind un material non-toxic, este foarte potrivit pentru apa potabila, acvarii si altele similare. Acesta este o lucrare interesanta, fiind un santier in care Radcon a fost folosit cu rezultate miraculoase. Este un bazin de inot ce apartine unui club al personalului tehnic din armata italiana. Daca te uitai sub piscina se puteau observa o multime de stalactite si o scurgere prelungita de apa. Inginerii au considerat ca cerinta era de a construi o noua piscina in interiorul cele vechi, prin urmare o noua constructie. Dar Radcon Italia, reprezentantul nostru, a golit aceasta piscina, a reparat rostul de turnare dintre turnuri, a tratat rosturile cu produsul Radcon si a obtinut un succes de 100% la etansare. Aceasta este o alta poveste interesanta despre o piscina. Aceasta este o piscina din Guillbring ce permitea scufundarea pana la o adancime de minim 5 metri si la ceea ce aplicatorii priveau aici este ca au facut tratamentul cu Radcon, piscina a fost reumpluta cu apa dar inca mai erau urme de scurgeri de apa. Acesta ne scoate in evidenta ca dupa o perioada de cateva zile fiind supus l o presiune hidrostatica ridicata, exfiltratiilor le-a trebuit cateva zile pana sa se opreasca. Pana cand dupa a doua zi am vazut ca a inceput sa se usuce. Acest lucru ne dovedeste iar capacitatea produsului Radcon ca odata ce este in fisurile betonului, chiar daca nu este o etansare imediata, fiind sub presiune hidrostatica, produsul se va dezvolta transversal si va etansa din partea interioara pe toata sectiunea betonului fisurat pe masura ce are loc reactia de gelifiere. Cea de aici reprezinta minele Currigan din DHP Bulletin, care se numea DHP in acele zile, iar relevanta acestui tratament este ca acesta este o statie de spălat carbunele si, evident, cand carbunele era spalat pe beton, factorul abraziv era extrem de mare si aceasta ne reaminteste ca Radcon creste duritatea betonului de la 6 la 8 pe scala lui Moh, 8 fiind echivalentul pentru granit. Asa ca, evident, niciun strat interior de materiale sau membrane nu ar fi putut sa faca aceasta. Iar bonificatia a fost ca am imbunatatit integritatea betonului pentru multi, multi ani ce vor urma de acum inainte. Si, bineinteles, aceasta. Ne place sa ne invartim pe ici pe colo si sa ajungem si in locuri mai mici din lume. Aici am facut rezervoarele de apa sarata pentru o mica insula din Pacific numita Nauru. Iar relevanta acestei fotografii este ca ei pastrau apa sarata in rezervoare inainte de a o trata prin desalinizare si acest rezervor a ruginit. Iar misiunea noastra a fost sa etansam rezervorul pe interior si sa aplicam Radcon pentru a-i asigura ca nu va mai fi nevoie de construirea unor noi rezervoare in viitor. Asa ca, recapituland principalele caracteristici pentru recipientii de apa: Avem mai multe teste pe partea de hidrostatica. Cel mai impresionant test este cel facut la SINTEF in Norvegia unde un cilindru de beton care era fisurat, tratat cu Radcon si care inainte prezenta scurgeri, a fost supus la o presiune de 40 bari (deci 400 m coloana de apa). Radcon nu s-a deteriorat la 400 m, pe cand mostra de beton a explodat. Si iar, de aici a rezultat ca Radcon rezista la o presiune hidrostatica nelimitata pentru domeniul constructiilor. Si, bineinteles, toate certificatele de non-toxicitate in contact cu apa sarata, acvarii marine ce conţin cele mai sensibile forme de viata de pe planeta in totala siguranta si incredere. Radcon, bineinteles, foloseste calciul din beton din placile de suprafata, deci inhiba orice fel de scurgeri de calciu (fenomenul de turbiditate) ce ar face apa sa devina alcalina in cazurile unor noi recipienti din beton sau de pastrare a apei. In aceste situatii avem costuri foarte avantajoase, facem rapid aplicarea, prevenim toate infiltratiile de saruri pana la prima linie de armatura si, bineinteles, intotdeauna evidentiem durata nelimitata de viata. |
And now we are going to move on to our first segment: water-holding vessels.
Now… this is a typical potable water tank… it’s actually quite close to Sydney’s International Airport when you drive pass the Tempe and the job requirement for Radcon here was to remove a failed rubber membrane of about 30 year old vintage. May be able to see some of the Calcium leaching, here the tank was beginning to leak and the Radcon mission here was to empty up the tank, dry up to 80 units, apply the product as a waterproofing membrane for Sydney drinking water. This tower sits by our east coast of Sydney, in the suburb of Volclues and this job actually entiled the 60 year old tank that had serious concrete cancer or spalling and the requirement for Radcon here was to repair the concrete spalling, to protect the outer skin of the tank with the Radcon #7 product and then apply a concrete stain to give a nice and steady finish. I see this tank from my home residence. It was done about 15 years ago and it’ll be a long time before that tank even requires a roof paint. This is one of our early jobs in 1998 and this is an interesting job because originally this courtyard area was designed for gardens, it was a last minute change of plan. It wasn’t really engineered for a lake. However there is a car park underneath this for the hotel guests and of course that uses as a great site reference. And this of course is also prompt as court cart fishing the lake and Radcon being a non-toxic material is quite suitable for potable water, aquariums and below. This is an interesting job, because it is a Radcon miracle job. This is a swimming pool that belongs to one of the engineering fraternities of the army, in Italy. You can get underneath this pool and what was visual, with lots of stalactites and long term leaking. The engineers themselves believe the requirement was to build a new pool inside the old pool, in fact a rebuild and Radcon Italia emptied this swimming pool, repaired the draft motor joints between the towers, treated the motor joints with the Radcon product and achieved a 100% sealing success. This is another interested swimming pool story. This is a Guillbring swimming pool which is a diving pool of at least 15 feet deep and the deep in and what the applicators are looking at here is they done the Radcon job and the pool is being filled up but there is leakege evidence and what is slow to shine to us that after a period of days is that the deepin with a heavy hydrostatic pressure, leakege took some days to seal. Up here after the second day we’re seing it start to dry up. This is proving to us again the ability of Radcon once it is into the cracks of the concrete, even if it is not an immediate seal, that under hydrostatic pressure the product will still grow across and seal from the inner edge throughout the way of the concrete as it grows it’s gel reaction. This one here is the Currigan mines from DHP Bulletin, DHP in those days, and the relevance of this treatment is this is a coal washing dam and of course as the coal was washed around the concrete the abrasion factor is execedingly high and this again reminds us that Radcon increases the hardness of concrete from 6 to 8 on Moh’s scale, 8 being the equivalent of granite. So obviously no internal line of materials or membranes could have done this job but the bonus was that we improved the integrity of the concrete for many, many more years to come. And, of course, this one we like to get around and around in nowhere places or the small places in the world. We’re doing the salt water tanks for a little island of Pacific called Nauru. And the relevance of this shot is they hold the salt water and tanks prior to actually treating it through desalination and this tank has rusted out, actually our job here was to seal new tank’s building inside and have the Radcon applied to ensure there’s no need for a new building of tanks ever in the future. So in recapping the water-holding vessels key features: We have several test on the hydrostatics side. The most impressive test would again be through SINTEF in Norway where a cilinder of concrete that was cracked, Radcon treated and leaking was put under pressure head of 400 m, in fact Radcon didn’t failed 400 m, the actual concrete sample exploded. And again this is shining to us that Radcon is handling unlimited hydrostatic pressure. And of course all the non-toxicity certificates with the salt water, marine aquariums that holds the most sensitive of life forms in the planet with total safety and confidence. Radcon, of course, is using the calcium in concrete in the surface slabs is also inhibiting any sort of Calcium leaching or turbidity that would make the water alkaline in new concrete tank or holding tank situations. In these situations we’re highly cost-effective, we’re very fast to apply, we prevent all salt ingress to the first line of reinforcement, and of course we are always stressing unlimited life span. |
